Why I Love The Snow

Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Psalms 51:7 Purge me with hyssop and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

When it snows, I always catch flack because I absolute LOVE the snow! Yes, it’s cold…yes, sometimes the roads get bad…and yes, it can slow down our daily plans.

BUT, take a look at the pictures below:

Before the snow, you can see every detail…good and bad. You can see the dirt, the imperfections and the brokenness.

Now look, AFTER the snow…everything is crisp, clean, imperfections are no longer visible, the brokenness has been filled and you can no longer see it.

It’s in that moment, right after it snows, I can SEE what it means to be washed whiter than snow. I can understand how being washed in the blood can take my sins, that are as scarlet, and make ME whiter than snow.

I am so thankful that God would do that for me.

This is why the snow makes me so happy…it just reminds me that I’m no longer walking around with the weight of the sins of my past…that GOD HAS CLEANSED ME and I am made NEW, FRESH, CLEAN…..WHITER THAN SNOW!!!
