My God Is Able

You know the scripture that says "no weapon formed against you shall prosper"? Well, I think sometimes, some of us, look at that the wrong way. I think we look at that and use it whenever there’s some kind of, you know, HUGE issue…some kind of, in your face, attack against us.

I have faced situations where I was trying to mentally prepare myself to 'deal' with different situations or issues. I would get myself all worked up with all kinds of scenarios of how the situation could go. I would seriously be so stressed that my body would begin to ache. Then, when the time would come to ‘deal’ with the situation, God had gone ahead of me and taken care of it. I would think, “Man, I’m glad God took care of that.” But, recently, when I had another one of those situations, I went through the motions of creating all those scenarios and started to really get stressed out. That’s when Isaiah 54:17 popped into my head. At first, I was a bit dismissive because it wasn’t like I was being attacked by a legion of demons! Then, it became so clear. God’s word and promises are not JUST for ‘extreme’ situations…God’s word and promises are for EVERY situation.

We have to stop letting our first reaction to be to try to ‘fix’ or ‘deal’ with everything on our own. We need start turning to God as our FIRST reaction. We need to become so accustomed to relying on God to guide our hearts, our minds and ESPECIALLY our tongues! When we are confronted with a situation, our first plan of action MUST be to go straight to God and what His word tells us.

I don’t know about you but I don’t like feeling stressed…feeling physically pained because of situations that arise…I want to continuously experience the peace & joy that comes with knowing that my God is MORE THAN ABLE to take care of ANY situation…big OR small!

Isaiah 54:17

No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants
